Quiet week-end It is Sunday evening. Just a short one before I run out the door to go to evening church. Not much happened this week-end. Yesterday, Rich spent most of the day with Kori, the young boy (13) that he mentors, watching him play soccer and some other fun things. For the first time since we came to NZ, all 3 of our older children spent part of the day with friends!!! Good sign! The rest of the day was spent cleaning, baking and getting ready for our house-warming party this afternoon. Had a great time with about 25+ people! It's funny how they all left after about 2-3 hours. We were expecting to have people at the house for HOURS - this is how it is in Tahiti when you invite people. Quite unusual for us... Maybe they were just trying to be sensitive to us because of the new baby coming into the house tomorrow morning...? This house is so great for having guests! We were even able to be outside for a couple of hours - after almost having frost on the ground this morning - quite amazing! Oh, and I almost forgot the soccer game Germany-Sweden! I forced myself NOT to get up at 3:00am to watch it live (trying to be wise) but planned instead to watch the replay after church. It was fun, although I got a bit distracted in the last 1/2hour because of our guests arriving. Here is a photo of our living room with the big TV that the owners left us - great for watching soccer matches!!! How spoilt we are! In the background you see Rich's office and in the front Kylie doing her part to cheer on the German team... I just came back from church - it is 10:00pm (GREAT service!) - and Kylie has a pretty high fever and isn't feeling well... Hopefully she will be healed QUICKLY and we can all sleep :)!
